Getting to Lancaster
NAM2019 is being held at Lancaster University, which lies approximately three miles south of the City of Lancaster. The campus is easily accessible via road, rail and bicycle and is within 70 miles of Manchester's International Airport.
Free On-Campus Car Parking or Bus Pass
Included in the registration fee is the choice of either free on-campus car parking or free bus travel between the University and the city (including the wider Lancaster area). Delegates should indicate which they would prefer during registration.
There are numerous visitor car parks on the University campus, including near all of the accomodation. Delegates may park in the purple or yellow zones on this map. Please note that visitors must not park in staff zone car parks and only blue badge holders may park in disabled bays. Parking Charge Notice enforcement is in place at Lancaster.
Travel to and from the city
Buses run frequently between the University campus and the city centre. For those who do not choose the free bus travel option, a single ticket will cost £2.20 and a return will cost £3.10. Alternatively, delegates may wish to opt for the MegaRider ticket which offers unlimited journeys for 7 days for £15.50. All tickets can be bought on-board the bus and contactless payment is welcomed.
There are numerous bus stops on campus but all routes serve the University underpass. Services 1, 1A, 100, 4, 4X, 41,and 42 from Lancaster all stop at the University. Bus services tend to finish around midnight and so taxis will be required after this. There is no Uber service in Lancaster.
