The aim of this session is to bring together observers and simulators to discuss galaxy cluster science over the next 10 years. A wealth of upcoming missions (e.g. LSST, eROSITA, ATHENA) will push the number of detected clusters into the 100000s, ushering in a period of precision cosmology with galaxy clusters. Furthermore, extremely detailed modelling of cluster physics will be enabled through these next generation telescopes (e.g. XRISM, ALMA). Coinciding with this, a new wave of simulations will be needed to complement and interpret the analysis of such large datasets.
