UV astronomy in the post-HST era
The ultraviolet is a rich domain for studies of exoplanets, stellar astrophysics, the ISM/IGM, galaxy evolution and cosmology. With an eye to the future of UV astronomy after the end of HST operations, we propose this session to raise awareness of the exciting mission concepts in development (CASTOR, LUVOIR, HabEx) and to discuss future UV science (including new ideas for small satellite concepts). This will be timely given the ongoing US Decadal Survey, and help position the UK to secure leading scientific/technical roles in these missions as opportunities arise.
